About The Art Market
The Art Market's aim is to stimulate interest, knowledge and sales of good quality art, craft & design.
The Art Market began in the centre of Holmfirth, a small creative town in West Yorkshire and is run by The Art Market Team for artists & designer-makers and lovers of original handmade art and design.
The concept of the art market is a market that is run by artists for artists to help promote their work to a wider audience.
No Art Market is the same. They are run twice a year; on two Sunday's a month in June and November, to help promote and support the amazing talent we have here in the UK. We have also been asked by Kirklees Council to run an Art Market and Art Exhibition in Huddersfield Art Gallery in December 2011 as part of Festival of Light.
There is a selection process that each designer goes through, and as a team we carefully go through each application, and put together the right people for the day.
We like to think that our creativity and quirkiness comes across and makes it an exciting day out for artist and the general public alike.
